Human Rights Youth Training Geneva 2013
Human Rights Youth Training Geneva 2013
Every year on October 24, WFUNA takes part in United Nations Day — a global celebration for civil society to share its support for the important work of the United Nations.
This year WFUNA celebrates its contributions to Youth and Human Rights. Since the launch of our annual Human Rights Training for UNA Youth in 2011, over 60 youth from developing and developed countries have received trainings on how to develop and implement locally based human rights projects, impacting communities in regions across the globe. We believe that youth are our future change-makers and can be catalysts to improve and advance basic human rights for their families, friends and communities.
Our mission to impact human rights changemakers can be your mission.
HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT YOUTH AND HUMAN RIGHTS?
You can help advance young people's contributions to human rights in the areas most needed through the following ways:

Make a donation to our UNA Youth Human Rights Training program.

Your donation will go towards human rights education for youth like Linda Asaba Awebwa of UNA Uganda.
On her experience of the training: "I learned a lot about the UN and that it is easier to push your objectives if you go through the right paths. I also like that there are NGOs who are actually looking forward to having young people push the agenda of human rights.”
