DoTheDream RESPONSIBILITY WALK : YOUTHS ASK TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY

8th DoTheDream Leadership Summit,a three-day event was kick started with a RESPONSIBILITY WALK from Toyin Street Ikeja to the Lagos State House of Assembly on 3rd June. The Convener/Director of Programmes of Do The Dream, Mr. Olutayo Olumadewa, explained that the walk was aimed at encouraging youths to embrace the values of hard work and integrity that our founding fathers stood for, as well as adults to model excellence to the youths by signing the responsibility board as an attestation of their obligation to building a better Nigeria.
While declaring the Walk Open, Mr. Peter Oshinoiki Director/Head of Operation- DoTheDream Youth Development Initiative gave the opening speech on the reason why every youth must take responsibility. The second presentation by Mr Obafemi George, the principal partner of Life Initiative encourages every youth to be the change agent.

The groups were received on behalf of the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly by Honorable Otunba Mudasiru Obasa, who commended DoTheDream Youth Development Initiative and Life Initiative for taking a giant stride towards nation building. He assured the groups of the House of Assembly’s endorsement of the initiative and appended his signature on the Responsibility board to encourage youths to shun violence, obey the laws and maintain best practices every time and everywhere they find themselves.
