The Conservative Party program committee proposes in its new party program to introduce a scheme to bring in more workers from outside the EEA.
The scheme will be inspired by the green card system in the U.S., writes Aftenposten.
- We want sustainable immigration. 80 percent of immigrants to Norway are not asylum seekers and refugees. We are concerned that Norway will fall behind on the best minds, and thereforeNorway should have a larger opening for immigration from outside the EEA. We are more concerned with competence than where you come from, says Trond Helleland, who sits on theConservative program committee. -This is not an automatic ticket to stay in Norway, but the reality is that many will remain, he said. |
