If leveraged the right way Marketing (Social Media, Public Relations, Branding) can be a powerful tool in changing the global perception and conversation pertaining to Nigeria and Africa as a whole. Changing the global perception of both Nigeria and the continent can aid the development of the Africa. Nevertheless simply pushing positive stories is not the answer, several other crucial elements need to be in place and this panel will discuss what the media needs in order to be interested in covering news items that can alter conversations and help change perceptions.

Tola manages relationships between talents and corporate brands and has a clear understanding of how to unlock value for brands seeking activation in the lifestyle space.

Former President of Nigeria and Chairman of the Africa 2.0 Advisory Board, H.E. Olusegun Obasanjo will head a delegation of leaders whose aim is to foster intergenerational dialogue during the event while exploring the possibility of leveraging social media and digital tools to move Africa forward.
Young and emerging leaders including Tonye Cole (CEO of Sahara Energy and chapter head of Africa 2.0 Nigeria), Uche Pedro, (Managing Director and Founder of premier entertainment, fashion and lifestyle website BellaNaija.com) and other dynamic emerging leaders will also be in attendance. This session will be moderated by award-winning journalist and Social Media Week co-producer Nkiru Asika.
