Africa Gets its 1st Huawei Store
It is certainly the first store being opened in Africa by Global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, Huawei. The store is based at Vodacom World in Midrand, Johannesburg.
"We have seen significant growth in South Africa. Launching a local store is a key element to cater to the growing demand from our customers and further establish our brand in the country", says Mr. Bruce Wong, Huawei Key Account General Manager for Vodacom.
According to Wong, they have realized a great potential in Africa to be a key market for Huawei. He added that the opening the first store in SA shows their commitments to the country and the continent. They will also be opening additional stores in other parts of South Africa as part of their expansion plans in near future.
The E5730 Mobile Wi-Fi, a high-speed packet access mobile hotspot, was also launched by the company during the opening of the store.
Business professionals, and university students and families who own multiple Wi-Fi enabled device can use this multi-mode wireless terminal for SOHO (Small Officeand Home Office).
The opening of the first store in SA will enable Huawei's customers to get direct access to the company's devices and technical support.
The Wi-Fi hotspot will enable users to share connectivity with up to 10 Wi-Fi-enabled devices at one time. Also, it helps in faster browsing as the device provides support for HSPA+ up to 43.2Mbps.
Mr. Jasper Zhan, Key Account Manager: Channel Sales, Huawei, said that they are committed to provide their customers in South Africa with great technology and access to customers in South Africa.
Makro and Edgars stores are selling the E5730 in South Africa at an approximate price of R999.
