Heinrich Boll Foundation is accepting applications from journalists of the United States in any medium for Energy and Climate Media Fellowships 2014. The major aim of the fellowships is to create opportunities for American journalists to research and report stories from Europe about European approaches to energy and climate policy that would inform policy debates in the United States.
The fellowships cover travel, accommodation and an honorarium for the fellow’s work.
The fellows can choose their own thematic focus in the field of energy and climate policy. Fields preferred are – the development
of renewable energy production, the economics behind a sustainable
clean energy transition, how Europe is preparing for the impacts of climate change, or other aspects of green economy in Europe that are of particular interest or relevance to their audiences.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicants must be journalists from the United States in any medium.
- Applicants must be reporting on energy and climate issues and must be eager to contribute to transatlantic policy debate by reporting about European practices in energy and climate policy.
- Journalists from regional or local U.S. media outlets who demonstrate that their story ideas would be informative to particular regional policy debates are highly encouraged to apply.
